Game Recap: Lightning VS Hurricanes
The Tampa Bay Lightning and the Carolina Hurricanes both held firm in the first period of the game. Neither team was able to score, leaving the two teams in a stalemate for the entire first.
End of First Period: 0-0
In the beginning of the second period, the draw was finally broken with a Hurricane goal by Justin Williams. The remainder of the period went without anymore goals Leaving the Hurricanes leading by one.
End of Second Period: 0-1 Hurricanes
The third period was yet another low scoring period as both defenses held firm. Near the end of the period the Lightning scored a their first goal of the night, and a power play goal at that, by Ondrej Palat, tying the game. Brayden Point followed up with a second power play goal, giving the Lightning a 1 goal lead. The shots were 24-15 favoring the Hurricanes until the Lightning became in control of the game. Brayden Point scores a second goal of the night, making up for an initial goal taken off the board earlier in the game and ending in a Lightning win.
End of Third Period: Lightning 3-1
