The Lightning dominated the first period in goals with a 2-0 score. Mathieu Joseph scored the first goal of the night in the first. This was quickly followed with a second goal by Brayden Point, also in the first.
End of First Period: 2-0 Lightning
While scoring was not a factor in the second, the Blue Jackets had plenty of opportunities.
With the Blue Jackets knocking on the door, the Lightning put an end to their parade scoring two goals. A sweet goal passed some how through double coverage on Johnson to Kucherov and a final goal scored again by Brayden Point. This would be an end to Blue Jacket’s goalie Bobrovsky while Vasilevskiy finished with 31 saves and shutout.
