End of The Third Period: 0-0 Tie
Overtime was nothing shy of exciting. Amazing defense from the Islanders after the Bolts came out looking strong. It seemed for a while that the Lightning just couldn’t keep it together and the Islanders really picked things up. While already having the upper hand, a cross-check penalty would give the Islanders a power play to end the OT. Without being able to score, the game ends up going into a shoot out. Right off the bat, Vasi made save number one while Hedman went on to score on shot number 1. This would be the only round that mattered in the OT, leading the league-leading Tampa Bay Lighting to success and a win. A huge game to both Goalies but Vasi will take the crown after that shootout.
End of Game: Lightning Win!
