Hockey time is almost here and the season will start soon. Have you prepared? Get your jerseys ready and your tickets pulled up because the storm is going to hit fast. In the meantime, check out what changes have been made to the Tampa Bay Lightning Roster. Who makes up the team that will be bringing the storm to Tampa this year?

While last year came to a halting end, we here at TBL Die Hard are very excited for the fresh start to the season. Our very young team from the 2015 Stanley Cup Finals has matured so much. From huge outburst of points per game to tie for most wins in a season, the Lightning have shown that they are a force to be reckoned but what has changed on the Lightning Roster since last season?

Lightning Roster Changes 2019-2020

August Transactions

Back on August 5, 2019 – We signed Defensemen Kevin Shattenkirk to a one year contract.

July Transactions

On July 30, 2019, we traded Ryan Callahan and a 2020 5th round pick for G Mike Condon and a 2020 6th round pick from Ottawa. (Good luck up there Ryan)

July 29, 2019, we signed our star goalie G Andrei Vasilevskiy to an eight-year extension.

July 17, 2019, we re-signed D Dominik Masin to a one-year- two-way contract.

On July 16, 2019, we re-signed Ben Thomas to a one-year- two-way contract.

July 9, 2019, we signed F Danick Martel to one-year- two-way contract.

July 8, 2019, we bought onboard F Gemel Smith to a one-year- two-way contract.

On July 5th, 2019, we re-signed F Cedric Paqeutte to a two-year contract. On the same day, we re-signed F Carter Verhaeghe one-year- two-way contract.

Tampa Bay started off July with several Roster changes. On July 1st, 2019, we brought on board G Scott Wedgewood to a one year, 2-way contract. We brought on board G Spencer Martin to a one-year, two-way contract. Also, we brought on board D Luke Schenn to a one-year contract. The Lightning brought on board G Curtis McElhinney to a two-year contract. Additionally, we brought onboard D Luke Witkowski to a two-year, two-way contract. Lastly, we brought on board F Chris Mueller to a one-year, two-way contract.

June Transactions

On June 25, 2019, we brought on board F Nolan Foote to a three-year entry-level contract.

June 22, 2019, we received a 2019 3rd round pick, a conditional 2020 1st round pick and G Marek Mazanec from Vancouver in exchange for F J.T. Miller.

On June 19, 2019, we re-signed F Daniel Walcott to a one-year, two-way contract.

June 18, 2019, we re-signed D Braydon Coburn to a two-year contract.

On June 14, 2019, we acquired a 2021 7th round pick from Nashville in exchange for G Connor Ingram. We also re-signed D Cameron Gaunce to a one-year, two-way contract.

May Transactions

On May 3rd, 2019, we re-signed D Jan Rutta to a one-year contract.
