First Period

The Tampa Bay Lightning had a strong first period against the Los Angeles Kings. Nikita Kucherov started the Lightning off with their first goal of the night at 6:28 into the first. Less than two minutes later, at 7:53 into the first, Brayden Point scored a second Lightning goal. Closing out the first period with a third goal for the Lightning was Ryan Callahan. The Lightning held the Kings to a scoreless first period.

Second Period

Austin Wagner answered back with a goal for the Los Angeles Kings 7:55 into the second, bringing the score for the game to 4-1. Steven Stamkos added another goal to the Lightning’s score, just before the end of the second period.
