The Tampa Bay Lightning came out ready to strike tonight. They got straight to the point with Brayden Point scoring the Lightning’s first goal of the night. He was assisted by J.T. Miller and Nikita Kucherov on the goal. Following this was a second Lightning goal by Cedric Paquette, assisted by Danick Martel and Ryan Callahan. Then, Nikita Kucherov scored an impressive third consecutive Lightning goal still in the first period of the game, with Anton Stralman and Brayden Point assisting. Finally, the Calgary Flames managed to get a point on the board before the end of the first with a goal from Mark Giordano, assisted by Elias Lindholm and Johnny Gaudreau. The two teams ended the first period with the Lightning leading by 2.
