Tampa Bay Lightning VS Philadelphia Flyers Game Recap

First Period

The Tampa Bay Lightning came out strong in the first period of the game. Starting the Lightning off, Mikhail Sergachev scored the first goal of the night just 2 minutes and 22 seconds into the start of the game. Steven Stamkos and Ondrej Palat assisted on the goal. Alex Killorn followed with another goal in the first, assisted by Anthony Cirelli and Adam Erne. J.T. Miller added to the lead with a third Lightning goal of the night, unassisted. The Lightning defense held the Philadelphia Flyers to a scoreless period in the first.
End of the First Period: 3-0 Tampa Bay Lightning

Second Period

Both teams came out in the second period with strong defense. Neither team was able to accomplish an offensive play, leaving Tampa Bay holding on to their 3 goal lead from the first period.
End of the Second Period: 3-0 Tampa Bay Lightning

Third Period

In an attempt for a comeback, Oskar Lindblom scored an early third-period goal, just a minute and 3 seconds into the period. He was assisted by Sean Couturier and Michael Raffl. Then, Yanni Gourde, with J.T. Miller and Ryan McDonagh assisting, retaliated with another Lightning goal. Travis Konecny followed with a second Flyers goal of the night, assisted by Sean Couturier and Travis Sanheim. Finally, Ryan McDonagh closed out the game and a 7th consecutive Lightning win with an unassisted goal.
End of the Third Period: 5-2 Tampa Bay Lightning
