Tampa Bay Lightning VS Arizona Coyotes Game Recap
The Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the Arizona Coyotes in a 4-1 victory.
As the game between the Lightning and the Coyotes began, Arizona kicked things off with the first goal of the night. Clayton Keller scored the first goal of the game, just over from minutes into the period. Dvorak and Panik assisted on Keller’s goal. However, the Lightning quickly took away the lead from Arizona with a goal of their own. Steven Stamkos scored the first Lightning goal of the night with McDonagh and Miller assisting. The period ended with a tie game between the teams.
End of the First Period: 1-1 Tie Game
Coming into the second period, scoring came to a halt. The offensive lines of both teams were at a standstill and neither side could accomplish a goal gain a lead on the score. This kept the game at a tied game throughout the entirety of the second period.
End of the Second Period: 1-1 Tied Game
As the game went into the third period, the Tampa Bay Lightning and Arizona Coyotes still remained held in a tied game. However, the pace of the Tampa Bay offense picked up drastically in the last period, showing us the high-scoring Lightning games we are used to seeing. Less than a minute into the final period the tie was broken with a Lightning goal. Victor Hedman scored a goal with Cirelli and Killorn assisting. This gave Tampa Bay a one-goal advantage on the game. With 45 seconds left in the game, the Lightning struck again with an unassisted goal by Anthony Cirelli. Finally, the Lightning closed out the game with one last goal of the night, giving them a 4 to 1 victory over the Arizona Coyotes. Yanni Gourde scored the final goal of the night with Vasy assisting on the play.
