Tampa Bay Lightning VS Carolina Hurricanes Game Recap
The Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the Carolina Hurricanes in an impressive, high-scoring 6-3 victory.
Kicking off the game, the first period was filled with multiple goals. Steven Stamkos scored the first goal of the evening with Hedman and Point assisting. Secondly, Nino Niederreiter scored the first goal of the night for the Hurricanes with Aho assisting, tying the game 1-1. Then, Dougie Hamilton followed shortly after with a second Hurricane goal with Svechnikov and Staal, giving Carolina a one-goal lead. Finally, just before the end of the period, Tyler Johnson scored a Lightning goal with McDonagh and Kucherov assisting. Thus, the period came to an end with a tied game.

Coming into the second period, the action of the game slowed drastically with only one goal being scored in the period. Jordan Staal scored the only goal in the second with Teravainen and Pesce assisting. Therefore, Carolina broke the tie and ended the period with a one-goal lead on the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Going into the third period, the game began to pick back up with many goals being made. However, all the goals in the period came only from one side of the ice. Firstly, Anthony Cirelli scored a goal with Stamkos and Hedman assisting, bringing the game back to a tie of 3. Secondly, Ryan Callahan scored another goal with assists from Hedman and Miller, giving Tampa Bay a lead on the game. Then, Brayden Point followed up with yet another goal for the Lightning. Stamkos and Miller assisting on the goal. Finally, Ryan McDonagh closed out the night with an unassisted final goal.
