First Period
Tonight’s game began with a slow start, with the first goal of the night not coming until 11 minutes and 30 seconds into the game. Robert Thomas scored the first goal of the night with Dunn and Bozak assisting on the play. Next, Alexander Steen scored a second consecutive Blues goal with Sanford assisting. Lastly, Vladimir Taransenko scored an impressive third goal within a minute and 30 seconds of the first goal of the night. O’Reilly and Schenn assisted on the play. The period came to a close with St. Louis holding a 3-goal lead over Tampa Bay.

Second Period
Starting off the second period, the Lightning finally got on the board with their first goal of the night just 27 seconds into the period. Alex Killorn scored the first Tampa goal with Cirelli assisting. Then, Brayden Point followed up with a second Lightning goal with McDonagh assisting. Last, Brayden Schenn scored the last goal of the period with Tarasenko and Barbashev assisting. The second period ended with the Blues still holding a two-goal lead on the Lightning.

Third Period
Trailing by 2, Tampa Bay took to the ice with needing to catch up. Early on, Steven Stamkos scored a third Lightning goal with Miller assisting. This left Tampa Bay down by only one. Then, in a particularly heartbreaking play, Steven Stamkos scored a second goal of the period that would have tied the game. However, this last goal was reversed due to an offside call. Tampa tried to recover from this but were unable to score another goal for the night.
