Tampa Bay Lightning VS Ottawa Senators Game Recap

First Period

After their last game ending in an upsetting loss to the Boston Bruins, the Tampa Bay Lightning came into this game ready to strike and reclaim a victory. Victor Hedman started the Lightning off with their first goal of the night, with assists from Cirelli and Girardi only 7 minutes and 17 seconds into the game. Less than two minutes later, Ryan McDonagh followed with a second goal for Tampa with Cernak and Kucherov assisting. Shortly after, Ottawa got their first score of the night with a goal from Anthony Duclair with Gibbons and Boedker assisting, ending the period with the Ottawa Senators down by one goal.
End of the First Period: 2-1 Tampa Bay Lightning

Second Period

In the second period, the Lightning continued to bring the fury of the storm to this game. Erik Cernak scored a Lightning goal in the second with Killorn and Coburn assisting. Nikita Kucherov added to the Lightning lead with his first goal of the night with assists from Hedman and Erne. The Lightning closed out this period with a 3 goal lead over Ottawa.
End of the Second Period: 4-1 Tampa Bay Lightning

Third Period

The final goal of the night was scored less than 2 minutes into the third period. Mikhail Sergachev scored the fifth and final Lightning goal of the night, assisted by Coburn and Killorn. The Lightning sealed a 5-1 victory over the Ottawa Senators.
