Tampa Bay Lightning VS Minnesota Wild

The Tampa Bay Lightning lost to the Minnesota Wild in a 3-0 shutout loss.

First Period

Tonight’s game progressed with very little scoring, untypical of Tampa Bay Lightning games. First, the Minnesota Wild opened with the first goal of the night. Jason Zucker scored the goal with Donato and Suter assisting. The period ended with a one-goal lead in favor of the Wild.
End of the First Period: 1-0 Minnesota Wild

Second Period

The second period was all about defense for both teams. Both lines held firm and neither side of the ice was able to get an offensive advantage. Even with both teams getting a power play opportunity, neither team could get a goal. As a result, the period ended with the Lightning still trailing by a goal.
End of the Second Period: 1-0 Minnesota Wild

Third Period

The third period started, but the game, unfortunately, were not looking up for the Lightning this game. Jason Zucker scored his second goal of the night just over 6 minutes into the third. He was assisted by Donato on the goal. Finally, being the only goal-scorer of the night, Jason Zucker scored his third goal for the Minnesota Wild. As a result, Zucker also got a hat trick in the process. On the final goal of the game, he was assisted by Staal and Fehr. Consequently, the Tampa Bay Lightning lost by a 3-goal deficit.
